1 Basic Seitan Recipe cut into 1-inch pieces |
3 tbsp Hoisin Sauce |
1 tbsp Sesame oil |
1 tbsp Soy Sauce |
1 tbsp Rice Vinegar |
1 tbsp Maple Syrup |
3/4 cup Vegetable Stock |
2 cloves Garlic, minced |
1 tsp fresh Ginger, minced |
1 tbsp Cornflour |
1 tbsp Olive Oil |
3 to 4 Spring Onions, chopped |
1 Red or Yellow Pepper, sliced |
1 Head of Broccoli, chopped |
In a small saucepan, combine the hoisin, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, maple syrup, vegetable stock and cornflour. Heat over a medium heat and stir constantly until thickened.
Meanwhile, heat a large frying pan or wok. Add the olive oil and seitan pieces and stir fry for 8-10 minutes, until the pieces have expanded a little and are coloured and cooked.
Add the vegetables and stir for a further 4-5 minutes, until softened a little. Stir in the sauce from the saucepan and serve immediately.
