Shouting about our Vegan/Vegetarian category!

Following the exciting launch of the 2022/23 Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards a few weeks ago, submissions are now in full swing.

With Vegans and veArtisan_Local_Vegetarian_or_Vegan_product_tb.pnggetarians looking set to make up a quarter of the British population in 2025, representing just how popular this way of eating has become, the Awards are delighted that the Artisan Local Vegetarian/Vegan Product of the Year will be back for its forth successful year.

The Artisan Local Vegetarian/Vegan Product of the Year category is open to products which are actively promoted or marketed as being suitable for vegetarians or vegans. If successful in securing ‘Gold’ in this category, the winning product will be entered into the Great Taste Awards 2023 and the entry fee will be paid for by the Weetabix NF&DA.

The Awards team is equally thrilled with the continued sponsorship from Daily Bread (celebrating 42 years of trading!). The business, which is a ‘Workers Cooperative’, is committed to stocking as much organic and local produce as they can, as well as offering a wide range of gluten free and vegan products. All of Daily Breads produce is suitable for vegetarians making them a perfect fit for sponsorship for the Artisan Local Vegetarian/Vegan Product award, as it perfectly mirrors their ethical stance and their passion for the promotion of vegetarian and vegan produce.

The closing date for The Artisan Local Vegetarian/Vegan Product of the Year category is 20th May 2022. If you want to nominate a business, organisation or person that you think deserves recognition within the food and drink sector, or if you are a producer and want to put yourselves forward, please call Sophie on 01933 664437 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
