Linseed

We regret to inform our customers that some Brown Linseed we have sold has been contaminated with an unauthorised strain of GM Linseed, which has affected some shipments from Canada.

….The assessment by the Canadian authorities indicates that the consumption of small quantities of this GM linseed does not pose a significant risk to health. Nevertheless, the presence of unauthorised GM material in any food is illegal and such products should not be placed on the market…..

If any packets of Daily Bread linseed or Seed Mix have the following packed dates on please return them for a refund.

9th, 12th, 25th September

3rd, 8th October

Seed Mix

2nd October

We deeply regret this incident as it highlights one of the failings of the global food market to control GM food, which we don’t want or need.
