Tahini is sesame seeds ground into a paste. The health benefits include iron and protein, essential for good health. If you want to choose a healthier fat to add to your diet then tahini is for you! Peppadew Hummous Serves 4
Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free

Ingredients:
9 Peppedew peppers, drained * 225g cooked chickpeas, drained (reserve any liquid for later use) * 5 tbsp chickpea water (or water) * 2 tbsp lemon juice * 2 tbsp light tahini *
Method: Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender and process until desired consistency (use the pulse function if you want a chunkier hummous). Can be served at room temperature or chilled. This recipe can easily be halved and processed in a small food processor. Serve with vegetable sticks (carrots/cucumber/celery, etc), bread sticks *, crackers *, rice cakes * , baked potatoes or warmed wholemeal pitta breads. Alternatively, use instead of margarine in sandwiches. * These ingredients are available at our store.
